I'm putting an extra layer of grout around the outside to seal the mosaic. This is because he will be living outside as intended and needs to be totally weather proof. Ta for reading :)

St Swithin is nearly finished. I love the folk lore surrounding him; he is supposed to have remade broken eggs on a bridge after his death so is often depicted holding a bridge with broken eggs at his feet. heather sprite's loving owner is picking him up this weekend and she is so chuffed that she's getting in a bottle of fiz to celebrate :) ta for reading

On his chest is a cross, in his hands a bridge, and on his cassock there is a rain drop,asleep, and a sun, wide awake.

St Swithun' s day

On this day it's said that if it rains it will rain for forty days and forty nights. This is a sculpture of St Swithun with his bridge in his hands and broken eggs at his feet. On his gown is a large smiling sun and 2 sleeping rain drop! Let's hope he can help to bring a lovely rest of summer :) ta for reading.

So close to finishing I bought the mosaic and mask good with me to finish it off. Stupidly forgot the wheel nippers so had to stop :( ah well, time for bed :)to for reading.

Necklaces

Had a brainwave this morning after finding a couple of screw hooks. They look great all strung up, not so good for getting on and off tho! However it's a good demonstration of how tough they are, stoneware high fired is difficult to break :)
