Every time one fires a piece there is the possibility that it may crack or explode as the hot gases escape the clay body. To avoid this the temperature of the kiln is taken up very slowly, the form has lots of holes in it and the clay was well worked as I built. Fingers crossed and a prayer to the kiln gods :) ta for reading.
